We are the "Single Contact" you need when sourcing Air Rings
The air-ring cools the film as it travels upwards. In the center of the die is an air outlet from which compressed air can be forced into the center of the extruded circular profile, creating a bubble. This expands the extruded circular cross section by some ratio (a multiple of the die diameter). This ratio, called the “blow-up ratio” can be just a few percent to more than 200 percent of the original diameter.
The air cooling system, air ring, is an integral part of any blown film line. It greatly affects not only the heat transfer from the molten polymer film but also the formation and stability of the bubble. For most blown film bubbles the shape is primarily determined by mechanical manipulations and aerodynamics. The importance of heat transfer in film blowing modeling, as bubble cooling ultimately affects both production rates and final film properties. Used Dual Lip and Single Lip air rings are available here in this section, and new air rings can be quoted as well from our new machinery section or by contacting us. The air ring is a commonly overlooked component that will increase output and control film variations.
